CrossedConnection exists to celebrate brief human moments -- the encounters that stay with us. These guidelines shape our community into a space that is reflective, kind, and safe for everyone.

Keep It Human and Respectful

Write with warmth and sincerity. These are stories about real moments between real people.
Be respectful of the other person in your story. They are human too.
Focus on the feeling and the moment, not on physical descriptions that objectify.
Remember that the person you're writing about might read this.

Protect Privacy

Never post exact addresses, workplaces, or specific identifying locations.
Do not include full names, social media handles, phone numbers, or license plates.
Use general descriptions ("the coffee shop on Main Street") rather than exact identifiers.
Do not post photos or videos of strangers without their consent.
When in doubt, be more vague rather than more specific.

Respect Anonymity

This platform is anonymous by design. Do not attempt to identify other posters.
Do not pressure responders to reveal personal information.
If you recognize someone from a post, do not publicly identify them.
Anonymity is a feature, not a shield for bad behavior.

Prohibited Content

Harassment or stalking: Do not use this platform to track, follow, or obsess over someone.
Hate speech: No content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
Explicit sexual content: No sexually explicit descriptions of encounters with strangers.
Content involving minors: Never post about children or encounters involving anyone under 18.
Revenge or obsessive posting: No repeat posts about the same person, especially after being ignored or rejected.
Threats or violence: No threats of harm, intimidation, or encouragement of violence.
Spam or commercial content: No advertising, promotions, or bot-generated content.

Moderation and Reporting

Use the Report button on any post that violates these guidelines.
Our moderation team reviews reports and may remove content at any time.
Repeated violations may result in session-level restrictions.
We may cooperate with law enforcement in cases involving threats of harm, stalking, or exploitation.
If you see something that feels unsafe, report it. You help make this space better for everyone.

This platform is for generalized human moments -- the smile from a stranger, the kindness of someone who helped, the connection you wish you'd pursued. It is not a tool to find, track, or identify people. Post with the warmth you'd want directed at you.
