CrossedConnection is designed to be anonymous by default. We collect minimal information to operate the Platform:
- Content you post: Stories, messages, approximate locations, and tags you voluntarily submit
- Approximate location: When provided, location data is rounded to reduce precision and protect privacy
- Session identifiers: Anonymous session tokens to prevent abuse (not linked to personal identity)
- Device and browser information: Basic analytics such as browser type and screen size for improving the experience
- IP addresses: Temporarily logged for security and abuse prevention
2. How We Use Your Information
- To display your posts and responses on the Platform
- To prevent abuse, spam, and violations of our terms
- To improve the Platform's functionality and user experience
- To respond to legal requests or enforce our policies
3. What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not require email addresses or personal accounts
- We do not collect precise GPS coordinates (all locations are approximated)
- We do not track users across other websites
- We do not sell or share data with advertisers
4. Data Retention
Posted content remains on the Platform until removed by moderation or upon request. Session data and IP logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days for security purposes, after which they are automatically deleted.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following services to operate the Platform:
- Supabase: Database hosting and backend infrastructure
- Hosting provider: Web application hosting and delivery
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim: Location search (queries are sent to their public API)
These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request removal of any content you posted
- Request deletion of any data associated with your session
- Report content that violates your privacy or contains your personal information
7. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with information, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
