Stranger who sat with me when i was crying on the bench

I was going thru literally the worst day of my life, sitting on a bench near millenium park just sobbing. most people walked by (which is fine i get it) but you sat down next to me and just... sat there. you didnt say anything for a while and then you said "i dont know whats going on but your gonna be ok" and offered me a tissue. we sat there for maybe 20 minutes. i never asked your name but that moment ment more to me than you will ever know. i am doing better now btw

Airport gate B7 โ€” we sat across from each other

Our flight to Austin was delayed two hours. You were reading a worn copy of "Norwegian Wood." We made eye contact several times but neither of us said a word. I regret not starting a conversation.

Running buddy who disappeared

We ran together along the lakefront trail every Tuesday and Thursday for two months. Never exchanged names, just showed up. Then one day you stopped coming. I hope you're okay. The trail is quieter without you.

Dog walker with the three golden retrievers

Every morning I see you walking three golden retrievers near Lincoln Park. They always look so happy. One morning one of them broke free and ran to me and you apologized but honestly it was the highlight of my day.

Stranger who paid for my coffee when my card declined

My card declined at the register and I was mortified. Before I could even react you tapped your phone and said don't worry about it. You left before I could properly thank you. Your kindness meant the world.
